Buying Vapes in Dubai: What the Rules Are and What to Check

Vaping products are legal to sell in the UAE, but they are regulated — and the rules are more specific than most buyers realise. There is a legal ceiling on tank size, a mandatory bilingual health warning, and a minimum age.

Plenty of products sold in Dubai do not meet all three. This page explains what the standard requires, how to check a product before you buy it, and how ordering works if you buy from us.

Is vaping legal in Dubai?

Yes. Selling and buying electronic nicotine products is permitted in the UAE, under a national standard that governs what may be sold: UAE.S 5030:2018, issued by the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology.

The standard is not a formality. It sets hard limits, and a product that exceeds them is not compliant for sale here regardless of where it was manufactured.

You must be 18 or older to buy. That threshold comes from Federal Law No. 15 of 2009, not from shop policy — a retailer asking your age at the door is following the law, not being difficult.

The three things the standard actually requires

These are the specification values most buyers never see written down anywhere:

The warning text is prescribed, not paraphrased. In English it reads: Contains nicotine which causes severe addiction, increased heart rate and high blood pressure. Nicotine is harmful to the health of pregnant and nursing women, and people suffering from chronic pulmonary diseases such as asthma and pulmonary embolism. Compliant packaging also states that sale to under-18s is prohibited, and that the product is not recommended for non-smokers.

Packaging intended for this market should also carry "For sale in the United Arab Emirates" in both languages.

What a legitimate Dubai vape retailer should be able to show you

Before you give anyone your address and cash, these are reasonable to expect:

• A trade licence number and a real registered name. Not just a brand name and a phone number.
• A physical address in the UAE. Not a PO box alone, and not silence.
• A contact address on the business's own domain, rather than a personal free email account.
• Compliant labelling on what they sell — the bilingual warning, stated capacity, and the manufacturer's own verification code.
• A returns position stated in writing, before you pay rather than after.
• An age check, and no willingness to sell around it.

None of that is exotic. It is simply what a licensed retailer can produce and an unlicensed one cannot.

How buying from VShop Dubai works

We're primarily an online retailer, and most customers order that way for the fastest experience — full catalog and 1–2 hour delivery in Dubai and Sharjah. If you'd rather see something in person first, we also welcome walk-in customers at our Al Awir Road location in International City, Dubai, from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm.

Delivery. Dubai and Sharjah within 1–2 hours. Anywhere else in the UAE within 24 hours. Free above AED 350. We take orders from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm; anything placed outside those hours goes out when we open.

Payment. There is no card form on this site and we never ask for card details online. You pay when the order reaches you — cash, card on the driver's machine, or a bank transfer made while the driver waits.

Age. Someone 18 or over must be present to receive the order. Our driver may ask.

Where to start

If you already know what you want, the disposable vape range and vape pods are the two busiest categories. If you are choosing between devices, the pod kits section covers rechargeable options, and salt nic e-liquid covers refills.

If you are still deciding on strength, choosing the right nicotine strength is the more useful place to start than a product page.
